Common features and differences between Bosch 3000 and Bosch 6000

Both alarm systems have built-in diallers and are able to connect to your phone line. The 6000 has the ability to send you an SMS which includes zone information if your alarm is triggered.

The 3000 is only able to send dialling signals to you. This means that when you answer your phone you will hear an alarm noise to indicate that your alarm has been triggered.

Along with the built-in diallers, both the 6000 and 3000 are able to have an IP module to connect to the alarm panel. The 6000 can have a wifi (wireless) keypad which removes the need to run a cable to the router. Unfortunately, the 3000 doesn't have a wifi keypad available, it also requires the IP module to have a static IP address, where the 6000 does not.

If you have just skimmed to the bottom, some of the key differences between the Bosch 6000 and Bosch 3000 are as follows:

The Bosch 6000 can have:

  • External readers
  • Proximity tags
  • Finger scanner
  • Nightarm codepad
  • SMS notifications
  • Wireless keypad

The Bosch 3000 does not have any of these features

Which Bosch security system is right for you?

The Bosch 3000 security system is designed specifically for residential use. The 3000 needs to be wired and has no away from home functionality. The Bosch 6000 also suits homes but is more suited for commercial use.

Other factors such as your budget and what you want out of your security alarm system will help determine which system will suit your needs.
